Hello State Racing fans! We’d like to officially welcome you back to the blog for our kick off of this year’s Sprint Cup Series action.
As you may already know, State Water Heaters has once again joined forces with Stewart-Haas Racing for the 2014 season and will sponsor the No. 41 Chevrolet driven by Sprint Cup champion Kurt Busch.
Through this partnership, State will support Kurt Busch at every race this season. Then, at the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October, State will serve as the primary sponsor for the No. 41 car.
We’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead with this talented team, driver and crew! In fact, Kurt Busch has already grabbed a win, placing first at the STP 500 Sprint Cup Race in Martinsville, Va., on March 30.
Perhaps, most impressively though, our No. 41 driver has signed on to race the “Double” over Memorial Day Weekend. As the fourth person in history to ever attempt this extreme test of endurance, Busch will first compete in IndyCar’s Indianapolis 500, after which he’ll immediately fly to Charlotte for the Sprint Cup Coca-Cola 600 — racing 1100 miles in one day!
