The Solar Thermal Water Heating System utilizes energy from the sun to provide hot water.
- The sun heats a Glycol® fluid in south-facing solar thermal collectors
- Heated fluid is pumped to a heat exchanger coil in the storage tank
- The heat is then transferred to the water in the storage tank
- Backup electric elements engage when the sun is not providing enough hot water
