      The EN6-40-DOMBSW has a 38-gallon (nominal) tank and delivers a first hour rating of 38 gallons at a Uniform Energy Factor of 0.91. The sacrificial anode helps protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water. This water heater features a 6-year limited tank warranty.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Informed Consumer Just purchased b/c I was in a pinch (from a wholesale plumbing supply chain). This is the exact same water heater offered by Lowes (called signature series). Lowes price $349. ***** Plumbing supply chain $690 with tax. Plumbing supply chain will not tell you the difference b/c "we don't sell the signature series" and the 18yr old at Lowes didn't know. Spoke with AO Smith customer service (very helpful). The two differences. 1) Proline has a brass drain line, signature series has a plastic drain line. 2) Lowes does not carry the water heater in stock (delivery time roughly two weeks) the plumbing supply chain does. The specs, appearance, and warranty are exactly the same!
