      • The ProLine® GSX-50-RCT 50-Gallon Atmospheric Vent Tall Natural Gas Water Heater is designed to deliver an economical performance that can lower your energy bills and provide long-lasting value.

      Featuring a 50-gallon (nominal) tank and a 50,000 BTU gas burner, the GSX-50-RCT Atmospheric Vent delivers a first hour rating of 89 gallons and a recovery rate of 54 gallons per hour. It carries a 10-year limited tank warranty and meets Low NOx emission requirements.

      Environmentally-friendly insulation and factory-installed heat trap nipples reduce heat loss for maximum energy savings.

      This ProLine® water heater is designed with State’s advanced tank features, including a stainless steel CoreGard™ anode rod, Blue Diamond® glass lining and a self-cleaning dip tube—designed to help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water and extend the life of the water heater.

They sat for 8 months in storage before being installed, then 3 1/2 months after installation, one of the gas valves failed (for which Honeywell is famous). I called the company, without hesitation, they Fedexed me a new valve which I received the next day. That's great company service! More company's should be like State.

So for 20 years it's never required one moment of maintenance not even to relight the pilot light. The plumber I used for my home was the plumber I contracted for years for multifamily projects. This means he installed easily over 10 thousand water heaters over the years. He recommended the State Water Heater. I'm confident he knows which products are superior. I actually have another low boy Sate Water Heater. I went out 2 years ago. That's 18 years of service. State products are #1 in my book period! Buy one and you'll never regret it.

It probably would have worked longer if I had changed out the anode. Weeks ago the tank developed a small leak and I replaced it with this current model. I was slightly disappointed that neither the control box nor the temperature/pressure relief valve were installed pointing exactly "down" so I had to rework the drain pipe to fit. Other than that it was easy, fired right up, and heated the water completely in under 45 minutes. Ordering on-line was easy, and pickup at a nearby Ferguson warehouse was a breeze. It was the best price I found for a 50 gallon water heater too.
