      • The ProLine® 74-Gallon High-Recovery Atmospheric Vent Gas Water Heater features a 75,100 BTU gas burner to deliver a first-hour rating of 125 gallons and a recovery rate up to 81 gallons per hour. The GS6-75-XRRS has a thermal efficiency of 80% and a Uniform Energy Factor of 0.60.

      A patented Green Choice® eco-friendly burner design reduces NOx emissions up to 33% and complies with Low NOx emission requirements of 40 ng/J. Environmentally-friendly insulation and factory-installed heat trap nipples reduce heat loss for maximum energy savings.

      This ProLine® water heater features State’s advanced tank protection, including a stainless steel CoreGard™ anode rod, Blue Diamond® glass lining, and DynaClean™ automatic sediment-cleaning—designed to help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water and extend the life of the water heater, which is backed by a 6-year limited tank and parts warranty.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little Tricky This water tank was the exact replacement for a previous model (SandBlaster), so everything lined up. We made one pipe change for the gas hookup. Once the unit was started, I did notice an occasional one second noise from inside the heater tank probably from metal/heat expansion). Twice I had to re-light the pilot before the tank would stay on and keep running. It has been fine for the past one hour and has automatically relit itself when needed,

The old one failed by corrosion and was leaking water. My only negative comment is the price of the replacement unit. We will see if it can make it to 20 years of service, then I can give a better review.

The recovery time on this unit is fast and provides a steady supply of hot water. Working through an issue with the pilot going out intermittently but pleased overall.

It keeps water consistently at the temperature it is set at. The only negative about the unit is that it is on the pricier side of 75 gal water heaters, but as most things in life, you get what you pay for.

However, the replacement was not available in a 10 year warranty, but only a six (6) year warranty. Somewhat disappointed in the lesser warranty but overall the original hot water tank provided maintenance free repair until now. Unfortunately it did need to be replaced since the pilot light would not stay lit and the tank began leaking.

It's my understanding that State water heaters are a private labeled version of the A.O. Smith. I hope that's true. Will know more in 10 years.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had to replace 3 years after install This "commercial grade" heater is anything but that. It developed a bad leak from the tank after 3 years in service. We had it installed by a professional plumbing company. Our 6 year warranty was revoked because they said we used it in a commercial application. We are a very small school. My complaints are, one, this thing is junk and should've lasted more than 3 years. Two, don't put "commercial grade" on a unit and not offer a commercial warranty. Do yourself a favor and research this company online first, this smoke and mirrors gimmick they pull is horrible.
