      • The ProLine® GS6-40-BCTL 40-Gallon Atmospheric Vent Tall Natural Gas Water Heater is designed to deliver an economical performance that can lower your energy bills and provide long-lasting value.

      Featuring a 40-gallon (nominal) tank and a 40,000 BTU gas burner, the GS6-40-BCTL Atmospheric Vent delivers a first hour rating of 80 gallons and a recovery rate of 42 gallons per hour. It carries a 6-year limited tank warranty and meets Low NOx emission requirements.

      Environmentally-friendly insulation and factory-installed heat trap nipples reduce heat loss for maximum energy savings.

      This ProLine® water heater is designed with State’s advanced tank features, including a stainless steel CoreGard™ anode rod, Blue Diamond® glass lining and a self-cleaning dip tube—designed to help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water and extend the life of the water heater.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable. 0n January 21, 2011 a State GS640YBRT 200 was installed in my home. 12 years later I noticed water leaking from the Anode rod location. With no maintenance performed on the heater it has failed due to my lack of knowledge on maintaining a hot water. After doing days of research on a replacement,different brands etc Why would I walk away from a Brand that served me and my family well for 12 years with no maintenance. After coming to my senses I went to Ferguson Plumbing and ordered my new State GS6-40-BCT 410 which I was told was the equivalent to the last heater. It was installed on January 8th 2024. Maybe after all I learned about maintaining a hot water, I can help this one get into the extra innings of Life. Folks, for me this was a no Brainer buy this Brand and do your maintenance.
