Wow! Hot water again!
I knew my 27 y.o. water heater was on borrowed time, but wish I'd replaced it with this one a year ago! I keep turning the thermostat down--now between "hot" and "low"--as the water was steaming, coming out of the faucets.

New Hot Heater
Well so far so good we have hot water! This is are 3rd hot water heater since we built this house, I hope it last longer then the other 2 but different manufacturers too.

Energy Efficient
Wanted. to upgrade to latest Hot Water Specs to meet energy needs and the environment. Fairly easy installation using old exhaust flu to run 3" PVC pipe to roof 24'.
Supplied 3" screen restrictive code fault after initial start, so went with 3" wire mesh and no faults. Motor sent a little vibration up chimney from PVC slightly touching and motor which I used some rubber tubing to dampen. Could use small rubber feet mounts where motor attaches. Also added a Mixing Valve to extend Hot Water and set to Very Hot. Only a week Old.

Just installed today....
Replaced my aging GS6-50-YBVIT (built 2008) with GS6-50-YRVIT. It is super quiet, a few inches taller, and a *huge* increase in first hour rating + recovery gallons + input BTUs. The 3 inch flue was reused for the exhaust of the power vent. Hope to see what the track record is for this reliability. My old water heater was fine but was told that the expansion tank may not be working so I went ahead to replace it. For today the first day, I only which a 10year warranty is offered .... not sure why it isn't since State is supposed to hold a good reputation for reliability and longevity.

good recovery time, good performance so far
Bought on recommendation from neighbor; also purchased the extended 4 yr warranty, so coupled with the 6 yr already in place, gives me 10 yrs of worry free service. AO Smith is also a part of State which carries a very good product rating.

Just installed
This hot water heater was just installed. Its a replacement for a State water heater that was still going after 18 years. I hope I get close to that with this one. I expect it to work like a champ. It's much quieter than the old one.

a week with out hot water, several attempts to repair old heater, cost kepp adding up. just bite the bullet and order a new State power vent. was installed and running in 3 hours. it stop running about 30 min. thaugt something was wrong. but had hot water, lots of it, back to back showers, dishwasher, and washing machine,never did it run out of hot water. Wish I had replaced a year ago. and not wasted time and money on an old heater.

So far, so good
I installed this unit a week ago and so far I have been quite happy with the build quality and functionality. It's overall specifications are almost identical to a similar unit sold at one of the big box stores (I know, I purchased and returned one), but the componentry and build quality (as seen from the exterior) are night and day. My only complaint would be a longer warranty- six years is at the bottom of what's offered. Based on my limited use, I must say it has worked great and am looking forward to many years of use.

Great features/options
I bought this high-efficiency hot water tank at the suggestion of my friend Nick Romano, who is a expert heating and cooling man, who has better than 40 years experience in the business.
He has in fact been my heating and cooling professional with both the homes that I have owned, and has always done a complete and professional job for me.
This is just another fine example.
This State hot water tank has all the "bells and whistles" with the hot water settings, and the overall ease of facility and excellent performance.
It's a great product and it gives excellent service!!

VERY DEPENDABLE
I purchased my first STATE Water Heater in 1994 when I built my home. That water heater lasted from 1994 to 2017...... 23 years !!!! So for you people who want to truthfully know if State Water Heaters are good...... yes. Yes they are. Dependable. That is what counts. I highly recommend. I self installed, as I have a long maintenance HVAC background, and it was pretty easy to install, and when it was done, filled the tank, and pushed the button. Blue light came on and I was making hot water.
