      • The ProLine® Master GW8-50-BCS 50-Gallon Atmospheric Vent Short Natural Gas Water Heater is designed to deliver an economical performance that can lower your energy bills and provide long-lasting value.

      Featuring a 50-gallon (nominal) tank and a 40,000 BTU gas burner, the GW8-50-BCS Atmospheric Vent delivers a first hour rating of 81 gallons and a recovery rate of 43 gallons per hour. It carries a 8-year limited tank warranty and meets Low NOx emission requirements.

      Environmentally-friendly insulation and factory-installed heat trap nipples reduce heat loss for maximum energy savings.

      This ProLine® Master water heater is designed with State’s advanced tank features, including a stainless steel CoreGard™ anode rod, Blue Diamond® glass lining and DynaClean™ automatic sediment-cleaning—designed to help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water and extend the life of the water heater.

Although it was still doing fine at 23 years old, we thought it was time to get a new one. It's only been in for less than a month but we are VERY pleased with it so far - HOT water QUICK! Woodfin did a great job on the install, too!

My plumber informed us that that is about the expected life of this unit. We are reserving judgment of the product for about twelve years. I would be willing to pay more if the service life could be extended significantly beyond twelve years.
