      Featuring a 50-gallon (nominal) tank and a 45,000 BTU propane burner, the GS6-50-RCT Atmospheric Vent delivers a first hour rating of 89 gallons and a recovery rate of 54 gallons per hour. It carries a 6-year limited tank warranty and meets Low NOx emission requirements.

      Environmentally-friendly insulation and factory-installed heat trap nipples reduce heat loss for maximum energy savings.

      This ProLine® water heater is designed with State’s advanced tank features, including a stainless steel CoreGard™ anode rod, Blue Diamond® glass lining and a self-cleaning dip tube—designed to help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water and extend the life of the water heater.

Now my home is up to code and we now have plenty of hot water! The water heater is a commercial grade, well built and must be well insulated. It is energy efficient, does not cycle on as much as the old one.

That water heater worked flawlessly for over 10 years. The igniter lead failed, so I reverted to lighting the pilot light with a match. In mid August, 2024, the tank developed a leak so I replaced the water heater with another State 50 gallon unit. I have experience with working with water heaters so I did the installation myself.. The installation was not a "plug and play" procedure but very close.. I am very satisfied with State's quality and I highly recommend their products.

I have been periodically flushing the tank and in 2021 replaced the anod rod, the original anod rod was in good condition. I stayed with the same because of company name, reliable and quality product ( no issue in 12 years) and the dimensions for the gas line and hot and cold water line did not need to be adjusted that was a plus. It was little pricey but worth it.
