Easy to install,Lots of quality here
I really like these water heaters! Just got my third one.First one came with our new build house when we bought it in 06.Slid the next one in 2014 and now just replaced that water heater this morning.Easy job,push and pull because State has been very consistent with the blower and pipe tap location.Nice water heaters

Connect to gas and water, fired right up. Easy.
I just installed this 40 gallon hot water tank, this is the second State tank I’ve had , other than the oxygen sensor no problem for 10 years.

Water heater is very easy to install. Very efficient. Heats up very quickly. This is the second unit I've purchased. Only complaint I have is unit only lasted 6 years. Even after draining unit twice a year for 6 years. Unit failed 1 month to the day after warranty expired. For the price of the unit you would expect it to last longer.

State makes a fine product.
Our former water heater finally gave up this week (24+ years old). Our plumber was called after the home warranty company (AHS) assigned a company that said it would take at least 6 days to even assess the situation and decide on options - this was not acceptable. Our plumber arrived same day, ordered this heater, and it was delivered the following day. So far, water flow and temp. are great - much better than the previous unit, and it looks great, given the excellent work done to install it. I see there is a control unit that bears the same name as our home heating/AC thermostat (Resideo) but there doesn't seem to be any way to integrate it into the network (curious as to whether this ability is on-board but not actuated.). Already downloaded the manual in pdf. form on-line to go with our paper copy. Looking forward to many dishes and clothes washed and baths and showers taken in our household of 2. State has an excellent rep. and we hope that this is the case in our home as well. Not enough time yet to eval. the energy use but hot water is no longer a problem here. Seems on par with value per dollar based on other units and companies researched.

Emergency Replacement
Our water heater developed a leak three days before Thanksgiving (11/24/22). UPP came early in the morning the day before Thanksgiving and replaced the whole unit. We could not have expected a better service. We are hoping that the unit lives up to its billing and lasts for at least 10 years. There are advanced features on this unit that we did not have before, so we are looking forward to care-free service.
