Hot Water in Abundance
This hot water heater is larger than any we’ve ever had - taller, rounder, and 10 gallons more. I’m so glad that space wasn’t limited so we had ample room to have it installed.

SKIP going to a big-box store & purchasing!
This replaced a 3yo unit we had & THIS IS FAR SUPERIOR! I love the fact it’s made here in the U.S. & not ‘cheap’ parts, etc. as the other one was. We tried replacing the anode rod in the previous one (which was a JOKE) so we opted to go w/this company & couldn’t be happier!

Quiet & reliable
Heater was installed 5/6/2023 by a contractor. Heater is amazingly quiet, reliable, heats quickly. Simple, uncomplicated external appearance. The best we've ever had. On home solar array connected to the grid & hasn't changed our electricity bill.

New water heater
Easy to install in plenty of hot water!! I wanted to get a really good brand and when I found out the company that made my old one made this when I decided to go with it again the old one lasted 16 years, and I only replaced because I figured it was time not because it needed it.

Keeps me in hot water!
I have had this unit for 3 years and it has been very efficient in producing hot water. FYI some areas of the US require the default temperature setting to be 120*F and that is not high enough to kill possible bacteria from well water. Although not difficult, it is time consuming to take off the thermostat covers and replace them in order to raise the temperature. Other than that, I am very satisfied.

Selected this water heater because it was closest match the installer had to the old water heater. The State 510E was original to the house - installed 31 years ago. That impressed me sufficiently to seek a plumbing company that carried the State brand. Turns out that Blue Line Plumbing has the most consistent high reviews of any plumbing company in the area.
Too soon to tell how much the energy efficiency of our new EN6-40-DORT 110 has improved over our old PV 40 2ORT7. Longevity of the old water heater is the basis of seeking a State brand replacement.
It's very important to me that the water heater be designed for energy efficiency and well constructed of good quality materials. "Smart" gadget features are a no-go for me - I have no need to control my water heater on my cell phone from another city. We turn it off when out of town and turn it on when we get home. However, a simple, built-in daily timer device would have been welcomed.
